Banjo Supports British TV Presenter Chris Packham on Wild Justice Campaign

Banjo Communications Supports British TV Presenter Chris Packham on Wild Justice Campaign

At Banjo Communications, we’ve spent the past 18 years working with world-class founders, entrepreneurs, and visionaries — all united by a single, powerful mission: to challenge the status quo and drive meaningful, lasting change. It’s in our DNA to champion bold ideas, elevate causes that matter, and support people who are brave enough to push the boundaries of what’s possible.

That’s why we’re proud to stand behind Wild Justice — a not-for-profit organisation committed to securing justice for British wildlife. Co-founded by Chris Packham, Ruth Tingay, and Mark Avery, Wild Justice is a powerful voice for the animals and ecosystems that too often go unheard and unprotected.

Who’s Behind Wild Justice?

Wild Justice was founded by a trio of passionate and high-profile conservationists:

  • Chris Packham, well known to many as a British television presenter and a relentless advocate for the natural world. His work on-screen and behind the scenes has inspired generations to reconnect with nature.

  • Ruth Tingay, a conservation campaigner with a long history of challenging wildlife crime, especially around birds of prey and game shooting practices.

  • Mark Avery, a respected environmental author and activist, formerly Conservation Director at the RSPB, and a vocal critic of environmental policies that place profit before protection.

Why We’re Getting Behind This Campaign

Wild Justice’s latest campaign, #WildInjustice, highlights some of the most deeply entrenched — and often overlooked — cruelty in the UK countryside. One of the central issues is the mass shooting of gamebirds, such as pheasants and red-legged partridges, for sport. An estimated 50 million gamebirds are released into the wild every year, impacting local ecosystems, putting native wildlife at risk, and driving cruel practices that rarely make headlines.

These aren’t just numbers. These are sentient creatures caught in a system that’s gone unchecked for far too long.

Through legal challenges, public pressure, and media campaigns, Wild Justice is shining a light on this issue — demanding transparency, accountability, and ultimately, reform.

Art Meets Activism

To support the #WildInjustice campaign, Wild Justice partnered with award-winning illustrator Edith Pritchett, whose bold and emotionally charged illustrations have brought a fresh and impactful visual voice to the campaign.

Her work — already featured in Private Eye Magazine, The Big Issue, and more to come — captures the stark realities British wildlife faces every day. Whether it’s the quiet suffering of a bird caught in a trap or the silent erosion of biodiversity due to destructive practices, these illustrations speak volumes without needing a single word.

At Banjo Communications, we’ve always believed in the power of creativity to move people, stir conversation, and spark real change. The fusion of storytelling and art in this campaign is a powerful reminder that effective activism can also be beautifully human.

More Than Just a Campaign — It’s a Movement

What makes Wild Justice’s work so effective is its blend of expertise, strategic pressure, and public engagement. They’re not just shouting into the void — they’re holding organisations accountable, and using legal frameworks to drive meaningful results.

This isn’t protest for protest’s sake. It’s structured, strategic activism with a plan and a purpose.

And in today’s climate — when so many feel powerless in the face of environmental collapse — that kind of leadership is both rare and necessary.
