Banjo Communications supported Türkiye’s largest-ever presence at London Tech Week 2026, as the country showcased a rapidly expanding technology ecosystem spanning startups, science parks and global investment initiatives.
Held at Olympia London, London Tech Week 2026 brought together global technology leaders, investors and policymakers, and served as a key international platform for countries positioning themselves at the forefront of digital innovation.
Türkiye’s Largest-Ever Delegation to London Tech Week
Türkiye delivered its most significant participation to date, assembling its largest-ever national delegation for the festival - and one of the largest international delegations in the event’s history.
Organised by the Service Exporters’ Association (HİB) and supported by Invest in Türkiye and the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Trade, the delegation brought together:
Around 60 technology companies (including participants from Central Asia)
More than 250 delegates
Seven leading science parks
This coordinated presence reflected Türkiye’s growing ambition to expand its global footprint across artificial intelligence, fintech, gaming, cybersecurity, enterprise software and digital infrastructure.
A Rapidly Scaling Technology Economy
Türkiye’s participation comes amid strong growth across its digital economy. Information and communications technology exports have reached approximately $5.3 billion, reflecting a 37.8% year-on-year increase, while venture capital activity has accelerated sharply, with startup investment deal volume rising by approximately 423% to $2.6 billion in 2024.
These figures underline a broader transformation in Türkiye’s innovation landscape, driven by an expanding startup ecosystem, increased foreign investment and stronger global connectivity.
Istanbul Strengthens Its Global Startup Position
At the centre of Türkiye’s ecosystem is Istanbul, which continues to strengthen its position as a global innovation hub.
According to Startup Genome, Istanbul has been ranked the world’s third-largest Emerging Startup Ecosystem in 2025, rising ten places year-on-year and reaching an ecosystem value of approximately $12.9 billion.
Further reinforcing its international profile, Istanbul has also secured hosting rights for the Global Tech Advocates Summit 2026, marking a significant milestone and its first time being hosted in Europe.
Türkiye’s Technology Strength Across Key Sectors
The delegation highlighted Türkiye’s growing capabilities across high-growth technology sectors, including:
Artificial intelligence
Fintech
Gaming
Cybersecurity
Enterprise software
Digital infrastructure
Among the participating companies were leading Turkish tech firms such as AloTech, Privia Security, broadAngle, and MDP Group, showcasing solutions already operating across international markets.
Türkiye is also home to approximately eight unicorn companies, including Trendyol, Dream Games, Insider, Hepsiburada, Peak Games and Getir — reflecting the maturity and scale of its digital economy.
A Regional Innovation Corridor Emerging
This year’s presence also highlighted growing collaboration across the Turkic technology ecosystem, bringing together Türkiye, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic under a shared innovation platform.
Together, these countries represent a digitally connected market of approximately 150 million people, with participation from leading science parks and innovation hubs including:
Bilkent Cyberpark
İTÜ ARI Teknokent
ODTÜ Teknokent
YTU Yıldız Technopark
IT Park Uzbekistan
Astana Hub
High Technology Park (Kyrgyz Republic)
This cooperation reflects the emergence of a broader “Middle Corridor” innovation network linking Europe and Asia through shared investment, talent and technology exchange.

Looking Ahead: Istanbul to Host Global Tech Advocates Summit 2026
Building on momentum from London Tech Week, Istanbul will host the Global Tech Advocates Summit 2026 in October — the first time the event will be held in Europe.
The summit will bring together founders, investors and policymakers from across Europe, Central Asia and beyond, reinforcing Istanbul’s role as a strategic bridge between global technology ecosystems.
Türkiye’s record-breaking participation at London Tech Week 2026 signals a clear shift: from an emerging tech ecosystem to a globally connected innovation hub.
With rising exports, accelerating venture capital investment, and expanding international partnerships, Türkiye is positioning itself as a key player in the future of global technology - and Banjo Communications is proud to have supported that presence on one of the world’s most important tech stages.
